Standard Cartridges
The standard Sun cartridge body is constructed of steel.
Internal cartridge components are constructed of carbon steel leaded alloys.

Corrosion-Resistant Stainless Steel Cartridges (****-***/AP)
The cartridge body is constructed of lean duplex stainless steel.
Adjustment screws are constructed of one or more of the following:
Jam nuts, stop rings, and assorted controls are constructed of stainless steel.
Internal cartridge components are constructed of carbon steel leaded alloys.

Corrosion-Resistant Zinc-Nickel Plated Cartridges (****-***/LH)
Cartridge body, adjustment screws, jam nuts, and stop rings include the following:
- High-performance corrosion protection plating per SAE AMS 2417
- Salt fog protection of 1000 hours minimum to red rust over all external surfaces exposed to atmosphere (Salt fog test per ASTM B117 or ISO 9227 5% saline).
- Light metal gray plating color (may have yellow to purple hue and may vary from cartridge to cartridge).
