Twist and Lock Manual Override for Solenoid Cartridges

Sun's Series 1 and Series P models DAAL and DBAL, direct acting solenoid cartridges are now standard equipped without a manual override. For applications requiring a hand-actuated override, Sun offers a Twist and Lock Manual Override, providing both convenience and superior control reliability.

The Twist and Lock manual override is available in three configurations:

  • Momentary control
  • Locked control
  • Dual operation - providing both momentary and locked control

Features of the Twist and Lock control option include

  • Designed to be rotary actuated by a gloved hand
  • Incorporates a sealed construction to prevent internal contamination of working components
  • Constructed of reinforced plastic providing:
    • Heat resistance
    • Superior durability and stability in varying conditions

Series 1 and Series P models DAAL and DBAL solenoid cartridges can be conveniently ordered from Sun with the Twist and Lock manual override assembled at the factory. Field conversion kits including complete assembly instructions are also available for existing cartridges containing a tool-actuated manual override, i.e. "M" control. Please Note: Cartridges equipped with no override at all, i.e. "X" control, can not be field converted.
